Associations are Home and Family to Many Members

When engaged members personally identify with their chosen profession, they are likely to describe their association with words like these. The association is:

  • my scholarly family
  • my intellectual home
  • our professional family
  • the home of our community
  • a family of like-minded people
  • the home of the cause I feel strongly about
  • the home of our profession or industry or focus

When your members are talking about the association, are they using words like home, family, and community? It is a good sign if they are.
