An entrepreneur friend of mine is pondering what to do next. She sold a business, so this one chapter of her life is neatly wrapping up, and she is preparing for the next. She has a clean slate.
Let’s say you could start again right now with a clean slate; you could move anyplace and do anything you wanted to do. How would you decide what direction to take, especially when there are nearly infinite opportunities?
My friend’s conundrum is very similar to what is happening in the association community right now. COVID was the impetus for a new start for our associations. It is time for a change. But how? There are nearly limitless opportunities to serve members, but which are best for our members and us?
My friend hasn’t said this, but she may be temporarily stuck. Too many options, too vast of a blank slate and we have difficulty deciding which path to take.
One way to get unstuck is to look into the future and identify the best bets. This is what the Associations of the Future Series is all about. All of us peering into the future through our cracked, cloudy crystal balls (Meredith’s words, not mine, but I love the phrase). Now it is time for you to join us.
So, what questions are you pondering about the associations of the future?
Are you thinking about virtual conferences? Or how to engage members? Or how to engage your board? Or something else? What is top of mind for you? We would LOVE to hear from you.
Meredith and I will be delving into your questions during the live event this Friday at 1 PM Eastern, and you can register here.
