Busy or Productive Busy?

Perhaps there was never a more distracted time. On top of the usual flood of emails, meetings, and calls, there are now fast-changing news, pervasive worry, and the demands of home pulling at our time and attention. In this environment, it is easy to be busy. But perhaps while this is the kind of busy feels productive, it may not actually be moving your organization ahead.

One method to counteract this new environmental strain is to develop a set of personal goals that will guide you as you achieve the association’s goals. Every evening or morning, before making your to-do list decide which of these goals, you will advance and create a daily list with that goal in mind. This daily goal-list activity helps you to recommit to what matters most even when life and work are turbulent.
