As content leaders we no longer get any points for using fancy language, taking 7 pages to say what we need to say in 2 pages or merely informing.
The term content is king has been so misconstrued by so many marketing experts it is nearly meaningless today.
Once just having a blog got us attention but now it’s not just about having content.
It’s not even about having quality content. Quality is expected.
It’s more about developing content that speaks to the recipient. It resonates with them. It captures them. It helps them with a problem. It changes them. It encourages them. It shows them the way.
News, alerts and updates are not enough.
Instead members need the update but then we need to show them the path. How should they action this news? Let’s show them how to implement a plan and move forward. Merely informing frustrates. Revealing a plan of action, that is value!
