Why Potential Members Bail After a Single Chapter Event

reasons members dont come back to the chapter

We tend to focus on the programming. If a chapter is weak it must be the programming. It is true that programming is a factor but it is not the only factor. Talk to new members and their focus is not on the programming but on belonging. They want to know that their fellow chapter members are like them. They are gauging if someday they will be friends. They are wondering if they belong. Yes, programing is important but belonging is important too. Strategies that help facilitate belonging need to be added to our on-boarding plans.
