So much of membership work is repetitive. Daily we respond to member questions, requests and problems. Monthly we run renewals, process new members and work through lapsed member lists. Every year we get ready for the same events, with the same schedule on the same timeline.
It is easy to pack more and more administrative work into jobs like these. The key to brilliantly running membership however is carving out some free time. Time to listen to members and understand their problems. Time to educate the staff about member’s problems. And time to go solve those problems.
